Del pecho vanamente defendido,
al poder de tus armas homicidas,
vierten sangre reciente las heridas,
que curaba el cuidado, no el olvido.

Así en el pedernal endurecido
se ceban las entrañas encendidas,
y salen en centellas esparcidas,
al golpe del acero repetido.

Culpa tu actividad, no mi secreto,
si en la ceniza descubriere el fuego
de mi primer ardor, segundo indicio,

o fía tu Deidad de mi respeto,
y los que vieren, que a tus Aras llego,
verán, Celia, sin voto el Sacrificio.
