- LXX - A un jazmín asido a una estatua de Diana

De aquel jazmín, que su verdor se atreve
a escalar esta imagen de Diana,
nieva centellas la experiencia cana,
precipitadas de su peso leve.
El Austro tarde, que a usurpar se atreve
el desaliño de la flor lozana,
pretende triunfo con violencia vana
del estrago que al tiempo se le debe.
Cándido así de frágil esperanza,
mi pensamiento despeñado miro,
por el poder de natural efecto.
Cuando le oprime, Celia, tu mudanza,
que llega sin obrar en mi retiro,
a dejar deslucido mi respeto.
