Bien sé yo, Celia, el riesgo con que vivo
en la fuerza invencible de adorarte,
después que mi pasión para olvidarte,
ni a la esperanza permitió motivo.
Ningún aviso en la prisión recibo
por donde lime la cadena el Arte,
ni en la razón se reconoce parte,
que pueda redimirse de cautivo.
Porque si deslumbrada prevarica,
en la ley que profesa soberana,
o idolatra la ciega tu belleza.
Presume que el engaño justifica,
viendo en las señas de formarte humana
tan desmentida la naturaleza.
