- LVIII - En aplauso del soneto del Señor Infante
Rompa en hora feliz la voz amante,
que en el grave silencio se aprisiona,
y muestre en otro César Elicona,
que convienen lo Augusto, y lo Elegante.
Ínclito Carlos, que si ya el semblante
te acusa de la rígida Belona,
lides tiene Minerva, en que corona
con un mismo laurel, sabio, y triunfante.
Permíteme de Apolo las campañas,
mientras Marte previene otras victorias,
y baja de las Bélgicas montañas.
Cada rebelde a tributar dos glorias,
una a tu espada para las hazañas,
otra a tu pluma para las memorias.
