- LVI - Al peligro de la gran felicidad
Teme Licio el placer, teme, si tienes
en gracia de los Astros celestiales
siempre el deseo, y el suceso iguales,
o te influyen más dichas que previenes.
Teme, si nunca viste los desdenes
de la fortuna, ni en ligeros males,
que se ocultan las trágicas señales
en el pródigo exceso de los bienes.
De doliente mortal, Médico atento,
no limitando al apetito nada,
lisonjea los íntimos enojos.
¡O gran dolor en traje de contento.
Presagio de salud desesperada,
cumplirse al gusto todos los antojos!
