Este desdén con libres falsedades,
desprecio, y burla de mi pensamiento,
yo le vi en mi destino soñoliento,
amar lisonjas, y temer verdades.

Ostentando tiniebla, y ceguedades,
tan hidrópico vi tu fingimiento,
que parecía, que el ardor violento
mitigaba la sed con sequedades.

Ya su porfía regaló engañosa
el hielo, y fomentó en el pecho mío,
la ponzoña que ardiente se desata.

Ufana de que sólo poderosa
esfuerza los venenos en el frío,
lesbia, más que las víboras ingrata.
