Lesbia, yo te aborrezco arrepentido,
y llego a confesártelo afrentado,
mira cual estaré de haberte amado,
si de quererte mal estoy corrido.

Fiscal de mi razón cada sentido,
me repite el horror que le has dejado,
y entendiendo librarme del cuidado,
con el odio embarazan el olvido.

Yo acabaré la guerra de este afecto
último en mi pasión, sin perdonarme
escrúpulo de duda en la victoria.

Que en lo más interior de mi secreto,
hasta de arrepentirme he de olvidarme,
o no he de tener paz con la memoria.
