- LXXV - En ocasión de haber quemado Celia un papel suyo

Con lazos, Celia, del papel asidos,
salen mis pensamientos castigados,
por ligeros, idólatras, y osados,
en varios elementos divididos.
De tu prisión al viento remitidos
explican los efectos encontrados,
entre copos ardientes apagados,
en nevadas centellas encendidos.
Ardió en tocando al hielo, y en tu mano,
exenta de tu incendio riguroso,
duró rebelde la materia leve.
Arbitrio de tu imperio soberano,
por mostrarse dos veces poderoso,
helar la llama, y encender la nieve.
