- LXII - Dos amantes ausentes se soñaron juntos

Soñando yo, pensé, que no dormía,
y Celia imaginó, que no soñaba,
ella, que a mi deseo se fiaba,
y yo, que su belleza merecía.
La unión que a nuestras almas asistía,
al sentido inferior se trasladaba,
que los dos corazones animaba,
y sus alas solícito batía.
Con vuelo igual de la fingida gloria,
el término llegó al postrer empeño,
y la dulce ilusión desaparece:
Pero dejó gustosa la memoria
el suceso feliz, que si fue sueño,
cuando el pasado bien no lo parece.
