- XXXII - Al despedirse un amante

Esta cordera, que torno en abrojos
su corta juventud los gustos míos,
medio anegada de los hondos ríos,
¡oh honor!, de tantas lágrimas y enojos,
ofrezco a tu deidad; estos despojos
-como ya de piedad, de miedo fríos,
de tu poder ejemplo y de mis bríos-
de hoy más ocupen peregrinos ojos.
Quede en tus aras la segur colgando,
cuyo afilado acero, ¡oh honor!, entiendo
la humilde sangre le ha dejado blando.
Mas no cures de mí, que si, venciendo
me fe, cumplí contigo, ¡oh honor!, dejando,
voy a cumplir con el amor muriendo.
