Me miraste, vi el Sol, y en bellos lazos
ciño -dulce ceñir- mi rostro y frente.
Hízose ocaso su divino Oriente;
tomó la noche el hemisferio en brazos.
Temí -bien pude-, ¡oh Lisi!, sus abrazos,
lo dirá bien quien de mis males siente;
lloré -y amargo fue-, como ausente,
robos del alma en sus oscuros brazos.
Rompí el silencio de su tez oscura,
con desiguales quejas, y a mi llanto
mostró, ¡oh Lisi!, tu Sol su frente pura.
Dio nuevas de ella al alma alegre canto:
tal puede en mí tu Sol, tal tu hermosura;
tal el no verte, Lisi, el verte, tanto.
