- XXVIII - A la vista de Celia
Escuadrones de estrellas temerosas
desamparan el cielo, de corridas
en ver que sólo no han de ser vencidas
del sol, cual antes, o de frescas rosas.
Ya las ligeras horas presurosas
oro crecen al carro, y encendidas
perlas les da el Oriente más subidas
por afrentar a las de Celia hermosas.
Cual a su dueño el prado lisonjera
victoria ofrece y esperanzas vanas
en su color y en el laurel que cría.
Salió mi bello Oriente a sus ventanas:
parose el sol vencido en su carrera,
y fue más largo por mi Celia el día.
