¿Cómo, oh querido bien, cómo, oh querido
dueño de alma y vida, en qué, arrojado,
el pecho os ofendió? ¿Cuándo ha entregado,
pues le olvidáis, el cuello a vuestro olvido?
Si yo no os miré, si os he ofendido,
Amor es ciego, Amor lo habrá causado.
¿Quién no tiene a bajeza haber probado
cuánto corta la espada en un rendido?
Me lo mandó el Amor; fue fuerza hacello,
y es mi rey el Amor, pudo mandarme;
culpa el mandarlo fue, culpa el querello.
Llorando moriré, pues el culparme
vos, le basta a mi llanto, ¡oh rostro bello!,
por vengaros a vos y por vengarme.
