Ciegos doy (cual mi amor) tres varios nudos,
varios en el color: ¡ay Dios, si fuesen
de tan alto valor! ¡ay, si pudiesen
mostrar tus ojos de rigor desnudos!
Ciñe este altar tres veces y estos mudos
bultos tuyos, ¡oh Laura, si venciesen
en blandura esta cera, si quisiesen
arder cual arden estos troncos rudos!
Estas hierbas, que da el camino seno,
doy en aquestas llamas por despojos;
¿si vencerá veneno otro veneno?
Cual este polvo en agua, mis enojos
mueran; en vano por vencerlos peno,
que es mayor el hechizo que tus ojos.
