- XIV -

Aquel bulto de monte con semblante
de quinta esfera y luz de firmamento,
de fábricas eternas documento,
fiel sustituto del caduco Atlante.
Luciente con el sol sin el tonante,
de cielo y tierra unión con ornamento,
de día alcázar fue del Dios sangriento,
de noche habitación del fulminante.
Edificóle celo Religioso,
que pudo aventajando las verdades
reducir a verdad lo imaginado.
Y bien que lo formó de eternidades,
mostrándose dos veces poderoso,
hízolo todo parecer pintado.
