Hermosa es lo de menos con ser tanto;
que a tu virtud es deuda la hermosura,
tan naturalizada la cordura,
que viene a ser de admiración espanto.
Debe a tu perfección la envidia llanto,
que a su aspereza vence tu blandura,
y aunque el mérito propio te asegura,
¡o cuánto a tu beldad se opone, o cuánto!
Opóngase Violante que vencida
como de tu virtud, de tu belleza,
quedará para estatua de tu gloria.
Aunque puedes matarla, dale vida;
que ella misma dirá tu fortaleza;
pues adorno será de tu victoria.
