Rubens que elevas con lo dulce, espantas
cuando acciones aplicas a furores,
siendo tan soberanos tus primores,
que aun en plumas finges, tu honor cantas.

Rayo de sol es tu pincel, que plantas
casi con su fragancia vivas flores,
vistiendo las Historias de colores
memoriosas pirámides levantas.

Sólo te falta ser lo que no puedes
Deidad, cuyo poder no se limita,
porque animas las sombras, que deseas.

Tan cerca estás de Dios, que le sucedes,
pues cuerpo sabes dar a las Ideas,
que en ti, como en su mente, deposita.
