- XXII - Al rigor de Filis con alusión a Anaxarte convertida en piedra

Filis si bien no tiene tu hermosura
ejemplo, que temer, por soberana;
en Anexarte, con la parte humana,
que no hay advierte ingratitud segura.
Mas no la mires cuerpo, y alma dura,
que harás, si empedernida, no te humana,
la imagen del divino asombro vana
y temo se duplique la pintura.
Por redimir el riesgo tus desdenes,
de hoy más, tendré mi pena por gustosa,
será tu culto de mi gloria esfera.
Ablandarte, cuanto de mármol tienes,
bien que en toda otra forma rigurosa
menos que hacer mi adoración tuviera.
