No el poder de la Parca en ti se mira,
que tu ya puesta luz, como en estrellas
se queda el Sol, en perfecciones bellas
si antes viva admiró, difunta admira.
Más amante, que esposo, te suspira
el que te solemniza con querellas,
que tu ceniza envuelve sus centellas,
y en su pecho tu rostro las respira.
Bien que se cierra el Cielo con tus ojos,
con mayor fuerza dejas a la muerte,
pues de beldad ninguna estás desierta.
De la vida por ti goza despojos,
quedando tan equívoca la suerte,
que está vivo el amor, la muerte incierta.
