A una ninfa yo vi que se peinaba
con un peine de plata de oro fino,
sobre el pecho y el cuello cristalino
se esparce y su blancura matizaba.
Y cuando con el peine lo apartaba,
se veía el cuello y pecho que es tan digno,
y un rostro que mirarle es desatino
pues como ciega el sol así cegaba.
Volviendo sobre mí, que no fue poco,
le dije: «Gracia es esta y hermosura
para causar cien mil competidores.
Quien cuerdo fuere, aquí será más loco,
que no puede, señora, haber cordura
mayor que enloquecer por tus amores.»
