Peinando la Diana sus cabellos
a su querido Febo le decía:
«Tú que el mundo rodeas cada día,
¿has visto mi señor otros más bellos?»
Tras esto hizo luego trenza de ellos
de tal color, que el oro oscurecía.
y al ver que Febo no le respondía
con rabia comenzó a descomponellos,
diciendo: «Pues que tarda tu respuesta
con la laguna Estigia te conjuro
que me digas verdad», dijo Diana.
Respondió Febo: «Fuerte jura es esta,
mejores que los tuyos, yo te juro
los vide ayer peinar a una ventana».
