Soneto amoroso
Burla o blasona la corcilla o gama,
bien guarecida entre su bosque espeso,
del gran lebrel y acosador sabueso,
cuyo ladrido la amenaza y llama.
Mas si, engañada de la hierba y grama,
al raso campo estiende el pie travieso,
muriendo paga su ligero ecceso,
y en vano el gremio de las selvas ama.
Así, mientras cerrado en mi aspereza
viví, burlaba, Amor, de tus rigores;
mas engañóme un rostro lisonjero.
Salí de mí, siguiendo la belleza
de un paraíso con perpetuas flores,
donde a tus manos rigurosas muero.
