A tu divina frente, ¡oh poderoso
Niño!, una venda con trabajo y arte
tejí de oro y colores, donde parte
retraté de tu triunfo más glorioso.
Allí se muestra atado al victorioso
carro el gran Febo, que la luz reparte,
preso Mercurio, encadenado Marte,
y Vulcano con muestras de celoso.
Ni se pudo librar con los reales
insignias Jove; mal pudiera Psique
resistir, si a estos rinde la fiereza.
Agravan mi prisión mayores males,
siendo fuerza que a un niño sacrifique
mi firme amor, y a un ciego mi belleza.
