Labra Artemisa el grande mausoleo,

Del tierno y casto pecho en nuevo empleo
hacer sepulcro al muerto esposo intenta,
cuyas cenizas, de su amor sedienta,
bebe con ansias de inmortal deseo.

ni en largo olvido sepultar tu gloria.
Que de su injuria basta a defenderme
