Oí, oí, los hombres y las gentes,
un caso nuevo que en amar se ofrece;
amor en mí con su deleite crece,
mientras más males tengo, y más presentes.
Estando el alma con mil accidentes,
un gusto que no sé, la favorece;
ella lo sabe, y así más florece
en los más fríos tiempos o calientes.
Tanto en amar extiendo mi camino,
que descubro sin causa mil efetos;
a otros mundos me lleva el desatino.
Estoy en mi negocio tan contino,
que según sé de amor grandes secretos,
ya no soy sabedor, sino adivino.
