Cargado voy de mí doquier que ando,
y cuerpo y alma, todo me es pesado;
sin causa vivo, pues que está apartado
de do el vivir su causa iba ganando.
Mi seso está sus obras desechando;
no me queda otra renta, ni otro estado,
sino pasar pensando en lo pasado,
y cayo bien en lo que voy pensando.
Tanto es el mal, que mi corazón siente
que sola la memoria de un momento
viene a ser para mí crudo accidente.
¿Cómo puede vivir mi pensamiento,
si el pasado placer y el mal presente
tiene siempre ocupado el sentimiento?
