No alcanzo yo por donde o cómo pueda
amar un corazón desesperado,
sino es porque fue tanto lo que ha amado,
que ama por la costumbre que le queda.
Fortuna en mí volvió tanto su rueda,
que casi a este punto me ha llegado,
que con la fuerza del amor pasado,
el mi presente amor agora rueda.
Soy tan grande amador que amor sostengo
con el amor de mi verdad pasada,
y esto sólo me queda en cuanto tengo.
Con esto solo vivo y me entretengo;
y vivo, según esto, de nonada,
pues que de lo pasado me mantengo.
