Me puso Amor al punto do está el medio
de todo el bien que sobre el alma rueda.
No es fortuna quien manda ya esta rueda:
más alto está mi mal o mi remedio.
Sólo es Amor de cuanto amo el medio;
aquí puede el poder, aunque no pueda;
de aquí parte, aquí anda y aquí queda
la fuerza con que muero o me remedio.
De tanto amar cual debe ser lo amado,
vean a mí, y entenderán a ella:
yo doy entera fe de su traslado.
Mas como en mí se encubre mi cuidado
en ella, así, a quien querrá entendella,
se encubrirá gran parte de su estado.
